Solid Power became a public company through a business combination with a special purpose acquisition company, Decarbonization Plus Acquisition Corporation III (DCRC). The business combination was announced on June 15, 2021 and officially closed on December 8, 2021. Subsequently, Solid Power’s common stock and warrants began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on December 9, 2021 under the ticker symbols “SLDP” and “SLDPW,” respectively.

Decarbonization Plus Acquisition Corporation III was a publicly-listed special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC) formed for the purpose of effecting a business combination with one or more businesses. On June 15, 2021, DCRC and Solid Power entered into a definitive agreement for a business combination that would result in Solid Power becoming a publicly listed company. On December 8, 2021, the business combination was completed and DCRC changed its name to Solid Power, Inc. The combined company’s common stock and warrants began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on December 9, 2021, under the ticker symbols “SLDP” and “SLDPW,” respectively.
